When you’ve taken your work as far as you can, and you’re ready for a thorough external review, call on me.
If you plan to publish—either through querying agents or self-publishing, your work has to be as close to perfect as possible. Sometimes you need a fresh perspective on something you’ve reviewed a million times.
Agents see hundreds, if not thousands, of queries in their inbox each month. Let’s make yours stand out, shall we? And if you’re going indie, readers recognize and respond to polished writing.
I’ve got a lifetime of experience, a growing list of satisfied clients, and MFA training to prove my expertise. I’m here to help!

You’re someone who isn’t afraid to put in the work, who is ready to level up your great writing to un-put-downable status. You’re in the right place if you’re looking for an editor who will:
celebrate and champion both you and your story;
believe in your vision and carry it out to its fullest extent;
lead with kindness.
I will put my meticulous, trained, and practiced eyes on your manuscript and offer genuine suggestions to make your gem stand out.
While you don't have to be neurodiverse to enjoy working with me, I am autistic and have ADHD, adding an extra layer of understanding for those of us in the community.
On that note, I'm a proud queer gremlin, so I will always offer unbridled enthusiasm for queer narratives and an inclusive anti-racist and feminist perspective. You'll never have to wonder with me.
My cumulative experiences have honed my excellence in storytelling and editing, and I can’t wait to work with you!

My educational background includes a BA in Creative Writing/Anthropology, an MA in Medical Anthropology, and I will complete my MFA in Popular Fiction Writing & Publishing from Emerson College in 2025. I keep my training current as a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and the LGBTQ+ Editors Association.
I've been editing for the last nine years. My overall career experience includes 13 years in nonprofit fundraising and five in higher education. I've also worked in public health and federal-adjacent roles. This includes three years of specific grant writing experience.
I love gardening, cross stitching, doing puzzles, reading, and writing. Generally I read SFF, but I enjoy most everything. Some of my favorite authors are: Tamsyn Muir, Amal El-Mohtar, Neon Yang, Kameron Hurley, etc. Yes, I read queer.
I have a short story and a personal essay forthcoming this year in anthologies, though my writing has been on the internet since 2013. I got my start writing articles for Nerdy Ladies. I’m also a regular reviewer over at The Lesbrary.
My partner and two cats are the loves of my life and I live in the American South, which you can pry from my humid, sweaty hands (please don't).
Hope to hear from you soon!
